Service Learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.

Our service learning project at  The Shelter was a tremendous success.  The barbering students cut 45 heads of hair in 2 ½ hours. Students gained valuable practice in haircutting and developing their interpersonal skills.
