Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG)
General
- The Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG) grant is a need-based grant program that receives funding from the State and Federal governments.
- A student applying for the FSAG grant is required to apply for the Pell grant. A Pell grant entitlement shall not be required as a condition of receiving the FSAG grant.
- Eligibility is based on one or more of the following:
- Student must be a Florida resident
- Student must be enrolled full time
- Other consideration will be expected family contribution (EFC) and/or financial needs.
- Student must have outstanding deferments for fees, books, and supplies to be eligible.
Attendance/Progress
- FSAG requirements are contingent upon the same attendance, grades and progress requirements as the Pell grant.
Process
- Eligible students will be offered FSAG application based on outcome of FAO verification and award process.
- FAO determines eligibility amount.
- FAO will submit eligible student award to the LTC Business Office and credited to student account.
