North Florida Worlds of Work (WOW) Career Expo and WOW Varsity
Welcome to the North Florida Worlds of Work (WOW) Career Expo, the first of its kind in Florida, inspired by the successful AlabamaWorks! initiative. This exciting event will take place on October 24-25, 2024, and aims to bring ten industry-specific worlds to life for over 3,000 students, their teachers, and parents from Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, and Franklin counties. The goal of WOW is to raise awareness of the high-demand, high-wage job opportunities available in North Florida, allowing students to plan their educational and career paths early.

In addition to the main event, WOW Varsity offers a unique opportunity for high school students in grades 10-12 to explore these career worlds at their own pace. This segment of the event will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lively Technical College. Students are encouraged to bring a parent, guardian, or adult mentor to help guide them through the various industry-specific worlds. Register for WOW Varsity here.
Participating in WOW and WOW Varsity provides companies with the chance to engage with over 4,000 students, parents, teachers, volunteers, and community leaders. These students represent the future workforce, and this event allows businesses to start building relationships with potential future employees. Sponsorship opportunities offer companies exposure and benefits both digitally and in person, reinforcing the message that there are many career choices available and that the future is bright for students who start their journey now.
