From High School to High Skies: Graduate Soars into Aviation Career
Joey Williams, one of our Lively Tech students, has joined the aviation workforce with Standard Aero in Augusta, Georgia. He will operate the Test Cell and maintain engines for corporate jets.
Joey, a 2023 graduate of Leon High School, was dual enrolled at Lively Technical College in the Lively Aviation program. While in high school at Leon High, he started the Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic course at Lively. This training led him to earn his A&P Certification and FAA license in one year. A career in a year! Joey had this to say about Leon County schools: “Schools aren’t just buildings; they’re the heart of our communities, where futures are forged and dreams take flight.”
There is a place for everyone at Lively Technical College. Whether you are a hands-on mechanical mind, love the flair for Cosmetology, or want to help others in the medical field. You, like Joey Williams, can make your dream a reality. The best part of Joey’s story is that his tuition was free through our dual enrollment program.
We are so proud of students like Joey who dream big, make their dreams a reality, and share their passion for our community. We wish him great success as he begins a new chapter in his life.
