Lively Tech’s Master Automotive Services Technology is a state of the art training facility offering a National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF) master certified program at a fraction of the cost of programs like Wyo-tech and UTI. Our programs purpose is to teach the student the theory and hands-on application of the vehicle repair industry.  We train the student through intense classroom instruction; individual study and practical advanced troubleshooting technology.  Our graduates become employed nationwide in the automotive industry, building a career doing something they love. There are many careers within the automotive industry and the demands are growing daily.

Program Overview

The Master Automotive Services Technology program trains student with the latest software, simulators, and diagnostic equipment in all phases of automotive services and electronics technologies. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory training in the troubleshooting, service, and repair of automotive systems as well as a platform for continuing education or employment in a rewarding, high-wage career. Comprehensive skills enhancement training in the following automotive service areas: engine repair, automatic transmission/transaxles, braking systems, engine performance, manual drivetrains/transaxles, suspensions/steering systems, heating and A/C systems and electrical/electronic systems. The Automotive Services Technology program at LTC is accredited as a Master Automotive Service Technology program, the highest rating, by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

What You'll Learn

  • Proficiently explain and apply required shop and personal safety tasks relating to the automotive industry.
  • Explain and apply required tasks associated with the proper use and handling of tools and equipment relating to the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in preparing vehicle for routine pre/post maintenance and customer services.
  • Explain and apply proficiently the diagnosis, service and repair of drum\disc brake, hydraulics, power assist units, electronic brakes, traction control, stability control systems and miscellaneous (wheel bearings, parking brake, electrical, etc.) systems.
  • Explain and apply proficiently the diagnosis, service and repair of front and rear suspensions systems, wheel alignment, and wheels and tires.
  • Explain and apply proficiently the diagnosis, service and repair of electrical/electronic system components, battery, starting, charging, lighting, gauges, warning devices, driver information, horn, wiper/washer and accessory systems.
  • Explain and apply proficiently the diagnosis, service and repair of engines, cylinder heads, valve train, engine block, lubrication and cooling systems.

Program Admission Requirements

  • AGE: 16 years or older
  • BASIC SKILLS LEVEL: Computations (Math) 10.0 & Communications (Reading & Language Arts) 9.0
  • Or meet other basic skill requirements
  • Valid driver’s license required for all students
